Amazing footage of a Westland Lynx Mark 90B helicopter landing on a ship in treacherous conditions at sea.
South Australian Ship Helicopter Integration company Prism Defence produced this video while developing its Ship Helicopter Operating Limits software package for the Westland Lynx Mark 90B helicopter onboard the KNUD RASMUSSEN class Offshore Patrol Vessel. The limits are based on a combination of environmental factors and ship motion and developing them necessitates pushing the aircraft to the edge of its flight envelope. The aircraft is expertly being flown by a Prism Defence Test Pilot.
